Xplore Love' offers writing and artistic retreats, both virtual and in-person, that are designed to challenge, stretch, and strengthen the participant’s ideas about everyday lived experiences.

CHALLENGE:
Create two brand styles that are cohesive enough to represent one, but different enough to be used for two different purposes (business and personal.)

Solution:

Include design elements and a brand identity that evoke the feeling of a writer's touch, to play on the fact that the business hosts writing workshops specifically surrounding the topics of love and mental health in minority communities. 

Xplore Love

Initial Ideation:
The client was initially unsure visually what they were looking for, but were interested in seeing green incorporated instead of the expected red or pink.

However, immediately after seeing the red options they were interested in newspaper colors because the business is centered around writing.

Second round ideation:
Moving forward with business card designs after
two logos are chosen for the business and personal stationary.

Stationary options:

Third round ideation:
The client wanted to introduce a color to represent melanin. So we left her initial request for black and picked up brown.

Color & typography:
Throughout the process a color guide sheet was provided to the client to keep track of subtle changes that otherwise may be hard to spot.
